I’m out with Jan and Niece and little man, and some guy asks me if Jan and Niece are mine.
I need to do SOMETHING about this, don’t I?

The Big Read reckons that the average adult has only read 6 of the top 100 books they've printed. Well let's see.
Every time I see lists like these, I don’t focus on how much I’ve read; I focus on all the great books out there that I haven’t yet.
I guess I need to change my way of thinking.
After I get back from the library. :O)
1) Look at the list and bold those you have read.

Will they never learn?!?!?
So , my sister Jan is in town right now. We’re out together, and she leaves the room.
Here is the conversation that follows:
Lady:
“Wow, she has beautiful hair. Is that your daughter?”
Me:
“No, she’s my sister. Yeah, she’s always had great hair.”
Lady:
“Oh, sisters. You must be a lot of years apart.”
Me:
“Not really, she’s older by 2 years.”
Lady:
“Oh. It must be the hair. Short hair makes you look more mature. Long hair makes you look younger. It should grow out quickly”
Me:
Silence.
Figured out that by that point, if she hasn’t shut up yet, nothing good would come out of her mouth at all.
No, I’m really not bitter about HER…
